The Office of Distance and Continuing Education and Branch Campuses, with Distance and Continuing Education and Nazareth Special Campus, has its own organizational structure, Vice President and Deans. Both Nazareth Special Campus and Distance and Continuing Education have been growing with dynamism for sustainability. The leadership of Unity University has expressed commitment to lead the competition of distance and regular education by meeting technological and customer requirements.

The Department is responsible to manage distance education and branch campuses in Unity University. The program of Unity University Distance/Continuing Education and Branch Campuses aspires to commit to reaching all students looking for quality, through exemplary and competitive teachings using every modern educational channel available. Quality service is the motto of the Department. 
Acknowledging all the limitations of distance, the program aims at undertaking advanced educational program models that redeem the shortcomings. These include using excellent teaching materials, advanced and diversified media tools as well as well managed tutorial instructions and efficient services.
Currently the Department of Distance/Continuing Education and Branch Campuses of UU focuses on:

    1. Becoming competitive and the best in the country;
    2. Further increasing the quality of teaching materials that are already the best in the country;
    3. Creating proper linkages and networking channels for the provision of distance education;
    4. Providing efficient services and assuring customer satisfaction through improved communication systems and feedback;
    5. Strengthening the mini-library and mini-media facilities; and instituting follow-up, monitoring and evaluation systems.

Consequently, the Department of Distance/Continuing Education and Branch Campuses will have the following as its strategic objectives.

  3. Fastest growing enrollment
  4. Efficient and effective service provision
  5. Continuous learning, empowerment and continuous improvement     

A. Nazareth Special Campus

Nazareth Special Campus has been functional for about 10 years now. So far, it has celebrated 8 graduations. During this time, 194 students with Degree and 1111 students with Diploma have graduated.

The campus is known for its academic staff, quality library, well ventilated and lighted class rooms, and meticulously managed compound. It has a spacious compound with standard football, volleyball and basketball fields. Different trees and flowers are grown that attract people to stay long conducting their academic functions.

B. Distance and Continuing Education

Currently, there are 8 developed and 30 developing Centers under the program. The major courses taken by distance students are Accounting, Management, Economics, Law, Marketing Management, English Language, Statistics, Human Resources Management, Purchasing and Sales.
