General:
Students who have completed secondary education as per the Ministry of Education new/old curriculum are eligible to register.
Students are expected to show all their original credentials and submit their reconciled photocopies.
Specific:
- Students with National Examination Certificate after completing grades 11, 12 preparatory education.
- Grade 12 + 2 Diploma students who have completed in advance standing level under the old curriculum from a recognized institution
- Grade 12 (old curriculum) ESLCE grade point average of 3.0 and above for female and 3.2 and above for male
- Grade 10 + 3 Diploma graduates in technical and vocational training from a recognized institution in accordance with Higher Education entry directives.
- Advanced standing students with incomplete undergraduate studies.
Rules and Regulations
- A student who is admitted or readmitted may request any of the above-mentioned transfers.
- A request for transfer from other Universities and Colleges to Unity University College must obtain final approved by the Academic Vice President.
- Transferred students can request exemption for relevant courses that are also offered by the new department.
- Exemption will be allowed only for courses with a grade of 'C' and above.
- Both Interdepartmental and Intradepartmental transfers will be allowed if the student's CGPA is 2:00 and above at the time of request.
- Course exemption, especially of major courses is at the discretion of the department.
Semester Course Load
- The maximum semester course load for regular student shall be 18 credit hours (minimum 15).
- The maximum semester course load for extension students shall be 12 credit hours (minimum 9).
- The head of the department shall decide the lower limit in consideration of the student's academic caliber and personal problems.
- The head of the department may allow students in good standing with a minimum CGPA of 3.00 to register for up to 22 credit hours.
- The heads of departments shall also handle all special cases as regards semester course-load.
